Introducing the NEW Vegan Lip Gloss Collection

Introducing the NEW Vegan Lip Gloss Collection

What’s the perfect complement to fun, fluttery lashes? A full and flirty pout, of course! Our vegan clear gloss was such a fan favorite that we launched a brand new collection of colors, all of which are right on-trend for fall and winter 2022.
But not only are our lip glosses great for glam looks we can’t wait to create with them, they are also great for the environment. All of our lip products are not only cruelty-free, they are completely vegan. Rather than using ingredients that harm the environment and the creatures living in it, we use natural, healthy ingredients that are great for your lips too, like shea butter and vitamin E.
The 11 colors that we curated for this collection are perfect for all skin types, so the looks you’re able to create are only limited by your own creativity. The tones range from subtle to dramatic, so you can capture exactly how you feel in the moment without ever opening your mouth. Everyone knows that fall is prime time for rich, bold lip colors, so what better time to try out these stunning lip glosses than now? Here are some of the top trends we’re loving this season.
1. Reflective Red
Lips in a rich shade of red have been the fall look for ages. But this season, the beauty industry is switching it up. While a traditionally matte trend, red lips with an unexpected gloss have been popping up on magazine pages and the Met Gala alike on baddies like Megan Fox and Gigi Hadid. Update your crimson pout with a little shine this season with our glossy garnet, Last Night. There’s absolutely nothing last season about her.
And while most beauty brands use carmine, which comes from cochineal bugs, Mink Envy respects creatures both big and small. Most red lip products, eye shadow pigments, blush, and even some foods, get their coloring from small cochineal bugs. These small parasitic bugs are often collected from cacti, dried, and ground into a powder. When that powder is mixed with water, it creates a red dye. And while this practice has traditionally been used to achieve a rich red in many products across many industries, forward-thinking brands like Mink Envy have found other, more innovative solutions for our favorite ravishing reds.

2. Monochromatic Makeup
The monochromatic trend first blew up on the runway, but now it’s made it to our makeup bags. Centered around matching color and mixing textures across the eyes, cheeks, and lips, this look is perfect to create in muted, darker fall tones. Experiment with this trend by creating a razor-sharp cut crease on your lids in a matte shadow, smoothing on some cream blush, and finishing off the look in the same tone with one of our high-shine, high-impact glosses. We love practicing monochromatism with our moody mauve Unapologetic gloss, perfect for fall with its brown accents. Has a better autumn shade ever been created?!

All of our lip pigments (and our products!) are long-lasting, so you never have to worry about smudges or fading as you enjoy your snacks and beverages of choice throughout the day. And while many beauty brands use lanolin, a chemical that comes from sheep glands and is collected from their wool, to ensure their colors have staying power, Mink Envy’s glosses are completely animal-product free. Though lanolin is only a by-product of the wool industry, many commercial sheep farms practice employ inhumane practices on their sheep before and during the shearing process.

3. Bratty, Glossy Lips
Overlined, super-glossed lips are back in, and they are taking us right back to our childhood days of playing with our favorite Bratz dolls. In order to nail this high-attitude, high-shine trend, enhance your lip shape by slightly overlining with our After Hours Dark Brown Lipliner Pencil. Next, fill in with your favorite color. And while our clear gloss is perfect for coating your favorite lipstick with a rich, luxurious sheen, our new lipglosses have everything you need in one bottle. Keep it sweet with our pretty pink Bossy or saucy with our more vibrant Slay. Our favorite gloss for this cheeky Y2K trend? The Expensive—it has all the glimmer and glisten to make you feel like a million bucks.

While the beauty industry is on the same page about sought-after shine this season, many lip product manufacturers use squalene to make their glosses shimmery and moisturizing. On the other hand, Mink Envy stays away from animal-based products. Squalene is an oil primary found in the livers of deep-sea sharks, who have already seen a 70 percent population decline in the last 50 years. Squalene is incredibly hydrating and it’s often used to help skincare and cosmetic products absorb better into the skin. However, there are countless of other natural, non-damaging ingredients that do the same thing. Take shea butter, for example, which is what Mink Envy uses in our vegan lip glosses. One of the most nourishing ingredients, it deeply moisturizes lips and preps them for irresistible, undeniable color. Because there’s nothing worse than a bright lip color on dry, cracked lips.

And while beauty trends come and go, treating animals and the environment well will always be in style.
